Our Mission Statement
Our vision is clear... to bring Durham Region's wonderfully talented business women together in a welcoming, fun yet professional atmosphere.
Women can connect, learn about each other - personally and professionally while enjoying a delicious luncheon.
Inspiring speakers empart their life wisdom to our guests while giving of themselves.
Each guest will leave our lunches feeling energized, upbeat and like they can take on the world, while learning a minimum of three new business tips to put into use the very next day!
The Co-Founders of Let's Do Lunch: Debbie Williams-Blue and Sue Pitchforth
|
Debbie Williams-Blue is truly an inspiration to all who meet her. Her laugh is usually the first thing that you notice and by that point you are hooked! She is a woman who has always carved her own way in business just think: she owns 2 car washes, self storage units and a Laundromat! With the exception of the last one, the car washes and the self storage units are usually male dominated businesses! That would never deter Debbie - that for her would be and is the challenge. She has a great husband and two wonderful kids to keep her grounded. Her involvement in volunteer efforts in her community round out what is a very busy but happy life she is active on the School Community Council and is also a member of a Women's Service Club in Brooklin, Group 74. Debbie’s favorite saying lately is "If you want something done, give it to a busy person" and boy is she a busy person!

Sue Pitchforth is lucky that she is organized! She is a very busy woman who has 2 decorating businesses and also is a Town of Whitby Councillor! Sue's leadership and role modeling skills shine in all areas of her life — be it with her family, friends, clients or in the community in general. Never one to sit back and wait for something to happen you can see her start with a seed of an idea and make it bloom very quickly! Whether it be by running the Home Reading Program at school, co-ordinating the 1st Brooklin Scouting movement to all of the other wonderful community events that she runs with the assistance of Group 74 members, she truly does care about where she lives and wants to make it better. Her decorating businesses are a wonderful creative outlet that she really enjoys and she gets to meet and help so many nice people!
