Tara K. Bergeron

Hand-made beaded jewelery, accessories and decorative items. Original works of art using mainly crystal, glass, wood, stone and felt. Influenced by nature and current fashion trends.

I have been designing and creating jewelery for sale for twelve years.  My love affair with beads started when I was four and bought my first tube of Indian seed beads.  Since then I have always been playing with them in one form or another.
My artistic background includes water colour painting, floral design, photography, drawing and multitudes of crafty endeavors.  My water colours and floral designs are displayed in homes throughout Ontario and my jewelery is worn by people all over the world.  Many of whom have large personal collections.
I have been interested, and participated, in arts and crafts since I was a child.  This has offered me the opportunity to develop a distinct feel of colour, form, and design.  Nature is my greatest influence and is reflected in everything I create.  If you can’t find me in the studio, you’re sure to run into me walking in the woods, along the beach or on the streets with my family and dog.
I'm always designing new One of a Kind jewelery and Art work.  I truly enjoy exploring new colour combinations and designs.  The better part of my winter is spent honing my skills and dreaming up new elements to add to my repertoire. Over the past few years I have added felting, stitchery, 3D wire and bead flower making and painting to my work.
My newest work is a collaboration between Soul Xpression and Hooked by the Sea. My friend does the backgrounds in rug hooking and I do the detailed bead work on that surface. We are the first to produce this type of work and are very excited by the possibilities.
